About the Department

The Department of Computer Science began functioning on 14th August, 2003, with the aim of educating students about the recent developments of Information Technology i.e., to empower students by providing education in an efficient manner. The Department has a well-equipped lab with well-configured computer terminals and well stocked departmental library to provide constant help to the students of this department. Teachers and students communicate actively inside and outside the scheduled classes on topics related to Computer Science and the latest technological innovations taking place in the field. We also provide extra classes for students who face problems with topics related to the curricula. The Department is a full-fledged Honours department now with highly competent faculty members.

Opting for a subject like computer science at the graduation level helps students to gain knowledge of different industry-oriented and research oriented software languages. This knowledge definitely helps students to decide on their carrier options in industry level or higher education level. The Department tries to ensure that their training and expertise are not only restricted to software languages, but also include hardware skills.

Every Honours graduate is assigned a project in the last year of their graduation which helps them to prepare themselves for job-oriented programmers at the industry level or academic and higher education level and helps them to develop and maintain a smart attitude to the areas of problem-solving and professional presentations.
